Designers, what is your end goal career wise?

I was thinking the other day that doing design at NASA JPL would be one of my personal “top tier” goals, or another example might be running my own design firm. What is the level of achievement you want to reach in your career that would be your personal “best?”

I have friends that worked at JPL doing design, what kind of design do you want to do? For me instead of running a design firm working on other people’s products, I’d rather be running a product company and make something I can sell

Save up enough to be financially free then either: a. start a company that sells physical consumer products b. design homes/buildings c. start an incubator for customer focused startups
