I know it's a strong word but that's how I've been feeling lately. Is it coz of the news that always talks about racism, immigration etc; or coz even after you study get a MS uscis thinks your not worthy and you have explain why some person on the street cannot do what you do; or coz of no certainity and long term planning that an immigrant can afford here . This and whole bunch of other reasons puts me in a state of mind that I've only experienced after moving here a couple of years back. What am I doing wrong and do better. Or is this how many ppl on h1 are feeling these days and it's just normal ?

Edit: I think my point of view about this country changed after seeing the ground reality and it's got its own set of problems like any other. Not Utopia how it's potrayed to the rest of the world. Not sayings its the worst, but not the best either by any means.

That's not America, that's democrats. Democrats prefer illegals over both legal immigrants as well as US citizens

You Trumpers spent years claiming “millions” of illegals voted in 2016, they even launched an investigation.

2 years later? Nothing. And yet morons like you still believe it. Because you’re creepy brainwashed robots that believe whatever Trump says, regardless of evidence.

That's not democrats. That's USCIS under Trump. That's what one gets when incompetence is mixed with arrogance.

Let me tell you a short story. Your are passing through a Jungle/Forest (career in your case) and you realize that you need shelter & food (job in your case) so you knock the doors of a huge shiny house (USA in your case) in between the forest. You can see that everyone in the house is happy, having fun, working and enjoying life. You decide to enter the house. Shortly thereafter, you complain about their rules, you hang out with people who are in the house just like you but talk shit about the house, you try to change the rules instead of following. When that doesn't work, you come to blind and complain.

I am on H1b from India and I thank USA for what it has given me. I may may not be here in a year from now because they might cancel my wife's EAD but I am thankful for the opportunity.

Only correction to your story is that the house first belonged to Native Americans not caucasians and everyone is a guest in this house

I like the story. We humans always find something to complain about. Even with free food at LinkedIn, I complain about overcooked meat and repeating menu. So..

But to OP's point, you are not alone. I am irked by a lot of things here : the uncertainty of being on H1B, the racially biased dating pool, the rat race at work.. but remember, there's always gonna be something to complain about. I'd rather
      1. start focusing on the positives and getting better at what I am.
      2. Ignore the "noises" that are outside my sphere of influence.

Can’t wait for all people like you to die in 30 years so nazi’sm can end and this country can become progressive.

I used to think that too, but honestly it probably won’t die off in 30 years. Progress isn’t linear and they have a lot of momentum in the US right now.

Hmmm, you can always move back. Seriously, not trolling— I think sometimes ppl forget that they’re not forced to live here.

Stop watching the news and think for yourself you NPC. Don’t you think it’s a problem if your emotional state is predicated on news and media? Try to think for yourself and you will feel better.

America is awesome..I have always loved it..Its an Idea that just works..

Developing hatred toward white Americans who are mostly racists? May be?
Brown/asian/black Americans are more open minded and open to diverse perspectives. So really depends on which part of the american population you are talking about and how much have tried to assimilate yourself.

Maybe you are disillusioned which would be reasonable. But to feel hatred suggests something was taken from you to which you were entitled to have.
