Devops Engineer interview @Workday

For which location?

I was interviewed for AWS cloud systems engineer position. I had one telephonic, one onsite(6rounds) and then one video call. After two days the Recruiter sent me an email to chat with me for few min. They said since my H1B is expiring in less than two years so that's the reason they can't proceed further as i might not get my i-140 approved before that time. They also mentioned by the time i-140 approved if similar position is opened then i can contact them . Not sure how true it is but just wanted to check was i just got rejected because i dont have i-140 approved or something else. did this happen to anyone before
