I mean, does it matter? They paid for the hotel.
You must be a newbie. Yes it matters. It's tacky. Especially if cheap AND far from interview site. The experience should be a positive top to bottom including the travel. And any time an employer flies you into a final onsite, they should pay, so that part is irrelevant. You'll get there someday brother.
People literally claim Amazon is “the” top company. No kids gonna turn them down cause of the hotel they put them up in. For the record, my company puts me in pretty ballin hotels when I travel, but I couldn’t care less tbh. Maybe all you kids are just materialistic now?
For my interview it was similar to Days Inn quality lol.
I stayed in days inn
Yes, they booked a cheap hotel for me in Austin
Mine was ok not super cheap but not great either within .4 miles from office
They booked a good hotel with a good view for me.
Mine was a 5 star hotel and 500$ prepaid debit
My hotel was decent in New York. When my flight was cancelled for 24 hours CarlsonWL put me in a 5 star hotel. My hotel when I started for the first few nights was pretty nice too.
Noobs ... they wanna see how you react to the leadership principle: frugality
I got a pretty decent hotel in New York, convenient flight times as well paid for all that day meals. Amazon has a cap , they try to fit into it. If your interview is scheduled in advance like at least a week or 2 weeks ahead you might get a good hotel for that price else a shitty one as dates come closer. Still I think like $200-$250 a night in NY/Seattle is not that bad
Amazon rolling in fat dough. $250,000.00/night “is not that bad”
Lol removed the k in my comment.
Seattle? I had no complaints whatsoever. They also paid for lunch
