Did you ever mention incorrect TC on Blind?

Next thread.. Did you ever exaggerate your TC on blind and then not admit to exaggerating your TC on a poll on Blind?

I say I make $320k but it’s actually more like $30k, I just want to be part of the club

I've never overstated my TC, but I have understated it on numerous occasions so that people don't constantly question if I'm telling the truth or not. TC: 150

I always say I make 150k TC but it’s really 1500k. I just don’t want y’all to be jealous

I usually round it. To be honest I have no idea about my exact TC. I just look internal tool few times a year and repeat that number as my TC.

fewer exaggerate their TC than people think. take a look at the levels.fyi backing spreadsheet or if you’re at FB the internal compensation screenshot data points ppl share I think many on blind don’t understand just how much some companies are willing to pay nowadays for (the chance of) a 10x eng. and they don’t want to admit that it’s achievable for most if they just grind and aren’t scared of failing

Companies just keep paying more and more. Even at Salesforce, a top intern may get new grad offer with 150k base (and RSU and signing bonus on top)
