I had google onsite interview last week and didn’t hear from recruiter. Does that mean reject? Usually at Apple no contact means reject. Do google recruiter email or phone for rejection?
I think they will get back to you at some point of time. How did your interviews go? I sometimes hear people say that one bad interview means rejection but have heard of cases where folks messed up one or two interviews but still got offers.
It’s normal, took two weeks for the recruiter to get back to me and it was positive.
Thanks guys.
You should know within 7 business days
Why 7 business days? What if recruiter don’t contact within 7 days then should I consider no?
I don’t think there is something specific like 7 days. In all cases I have seen related to Google interviewing, the recruiter has got back to the candidate though in some cases it has taken a few weeks. Feel free to reach out to the recruiter; I don’t see any harm doing that (irrespective of the outcome of the interview).
Depends on the company but after an onsite, a debrief with everyone on the panel is scheduled (sometimes even the technical phone screener). Scheduling can take quite a bit of time (depending on number of interviewers and seniority) although when wrapping up with the recruiter after the onsite, they should tell you when they will have an answer. If not, you should ask when you will hear back from them. Regardless, reach out and ask. If they don’t get back to you then they are a shitty recruiter. Best of luck!
I got below std response. No mention of HC. Should I assume reject? Thank you so much for the follow up! I have followed up with the team and will get back to you as soon as I have an update here.
Not sure what this implies; perhaps Folks from Google can say more. How was your interview based on your own assessment? Did you interview for any specific team/s? For one of my ex-colleagues, they had some uncertainty and then called him back for another 2 rounds of interview.
My 3 out of 4 interviews were good. 4th was on AVCN and lady was understanding completely opposite of what I was saying. She was very fast. Ask question and then next without giving enough time for previous question.
To be safe for yourself, I would assume it is a rejection and put your effort towards other opportunities if you are actively interviewing. If they come back with good news, it will be a pleasant surprise.
