Difference between Software Engineer and Enterprise Engineer at Facebook?

Is there any difference between Software Engineer and Enterprise Engineer at Facebook with respect to pay, roles and responsibilities? I am looking for new opportunity, so wanted to know before I apply. Would appreciate if someone can help me.

Not entirely sure, but I believe EE comp is lower, and you'd have to do an interview loop to transition to SWE.

RSU for EE is usually half of SWE. Role is more specialized or limited. Bases are about the same though.

You might be thinking of app eng or data eng.

Enterprise Engineering is a department, not a role, but it has its own dedicated hiring pipeline that you probably saw on the careers page. Comp is the same; we’re regular SWEs. The other commenters might be thinking of application engineer or data engineer, which do have lower comp bands (specifically around equity) and require an interview to transfer out. Source: I work in EE.

Cool, glad you know more about it just by looking at the careers page... This particular position probably isn’t SWE though, but not because it’s EE.

Engineering inside of IT. They had a rebrand a few months ago to sound sexier. You’ll be working on internal facing problems that directly impact how the company functions and performs.
