Director level compensation at AWS
I am discussing offer with AWS for a Director position, what is expected compensation range.
Just take it dude. Pretty sure you are getting a pay bump.

When I interviewed at Amazon, the recruiter said they have a salary cap with the rest of comp coming from RSU
Tech Director offers in the Bay Area should be in the 800k-1M range. I guess in Seattle, a bit lower.

Bay Area base comp will be 185k. The rest will be RSUs in year 3 and 4, mostly cash signing bonus in year 1, and some RSUs but still a lot of cash in year 2. If stock does well, by year 3 you will likely be realizing well over $1M - have heard of L8s pulling down $2M a year with stock price appreciation.
This is useful, so signing bonus and 2nd year bonus is much higher than base.
I hear L8s get quarterly vests
What position at Nvidia?
Depends on what kind of director. If it's dev, I have no clue but I'm sure it's a lot.
