Google CFO confirms "large-scale" layoffs today (Apr 17)
Yes!!!!... if they asked for it. If they don’t ask, (1) ask them if such agreements are a factor in their hiring considerations or employment agreements. Ask via email to get the answer in writing jic they say no. It could become material later. (2) Read all hiring company forms, agreements, disclosures, and other pre-hire and hire docs *carefully* for mention of such agreements you have. Companies who have their shit together ask to disclose this *before* making an offer. These agreements are like unprotected sex: It’s just a few strokes, but you live the rest of your life with the consequences - whether or not you’re aware of the consequences.
