I'm excited for November! Although I had my doubts I think that Disney will def be a competitor for Netflix and all streaming services!! Anyone else share my excitement?!?

I want a service that rotates me through the services. Have Netflix one month, Disney the next, then HBO, etc.

Can do it myself but it's too much work constantly cancelling and signing up again.

Idea being to binge watch whatever is on one for a month, then instead of watching their second rate content flip to the next. Come back in 3 or 4 months and watch what's new after working through the content on the others.

Yawn. Disney is an also ran these days. Not sure what value they bring me.

At least they priced it reasonable.

Welp, I’m no longer 12 years old and don’t have kids.

      Yawn.

Price makes it so I may just add it to Netflix and Amazon Prime, but I'm not sure that'll keep me. Im also not sure that's enough for Disney to stay strong. I love Disney movies and for family movie night it's worth the 7 bucks.

There are only so many free hours a day. Most of these streaming services won't survive. Disney+ has a chance but it may not make it either.

Yes but kids and parents watch on different screens. Netflix lacks PG13 and family content which Disney rules. I see most of the families with kids subscribing to it. I don’t see many quitting on Netflix and going to Disney+. Most will keep both until cost of both combined reaches 30$.

Netflix is ramping up an animation studio. With 10 times budget, it can change the landscape very quickly. It only took Netflix 6 years to beat HBO in Emmy nomination starting from scratch.

Netflix already has lot of animated content. They need more like lost in space and series of unfortunate events. Also need more family movies

Data informs decision. I guess family content are good bets for blockbuster movies and over the air networks. Not so much for a premium streaming service. HBO is in the business for 4 decades and didn't focus on that for a reason. 13 reasons why, Sabrina are more likely the kind of teen content Netflix will produce.

That’s why HBO is still HBO but not Netflix. To beat Disney they have to game up their family content.

Not sure what I would actually watch on this service. I use Netflix for TV seasons, and Disney don’t make that kind of content.

Its a killer app for people with kids. I can see where it wouldn’t be appealing though if you’re only into avengers and Star Wars: you probably have them digitally or on Blu-ray already.

I’ll have Disney, Netflix, and Amazon. I have young kids so Disney+ is a must. I’m also looking forward to seeing what comes out of Netflix’s animation studio. Incredible talent has joined from the major animation houses.

I visited our animation studio recently, and they've got some really stunning artwork for the projects they're working on. Hopefully they've got some great story telling to go with it!

When will channel lineups be available? I don’t have kids so the only thing I would be interested in is Marvel and Star Wars. Also I get Hulu through Spotify so I don’t need that bundle either. But if the channel lineup includes a lot of fox and fx maybe it’s worth it.

I don’t think they’re sorting by “channels” per se, but they did specify that The Simpsons was coming to D+

Remember Disney bought 21 fox as well. And they own the controlling interest in Hulu. Plus espn. I can see it rolling out to a Hulu/Disney/espn behemoth in the future.

They have enough good original content to keep you watching for a few weeks. Not sure how they expect to keep people signed up for a year.

I'm excited. Disney does the animated musical better than anyone. Is it true that they're "opening the vault"? $6.99 is a good price point for them to come in at.
