I am getting converted from a third party contractor to Project hire at Disney. What should be my expected hourly rate? This hire is for Sr BSA/product owner position. YOE: 10+ with Masters in MIS
what's ur hourly rate now?
$75
wow that's a tc of 156k seems on the high end for disney
Nope. That’s going rate for contractors. It’s ballpark
Report segment and YOE maybe higher level team. It’s different at diff places
75 an hour is not low for Disney. I would often times hire project hires up to 108 per hour. Keep in mind, however this was for the technology Division of the studio. Another area of Disney may pay lower.
I have seen scrum masters get upto 95
Project hire is not hourly. They are full time employees that Disney can fire without cause and with no obligation to pay unemployment.
Full-time TC cannot be with hourly rate. Contractors are billed hourly, full-time may pay less compared to contracting, but benefits far surpass any contracting package.
Thanks but what I got to know that Project hires are on hourly rate. Any idea what could be my best number to negotiate?
If its hourly I would ask for a range, not a number. 1.15x - 1.3x of your current rate and then settle for anything in between depending on benefits.
