I’ve heard Disney employees get extremely cheap and/or free tickets for themselves/friends/family. I’m considering a two or three day trip with a friend at the end of the month. Anybody willing to sell some on the low?
Working at Amzn you should be earning enough to be able to afford Disney tickets comfortably. If not, maybe time to find higher paying job. There is nothing wrong in saving money, however if one makes $300K and looks to take so much trouble to save $150, not worth it! Then there could con artists who can sell you junk.
Amazon employees are frugal.
@vuvuzela, point taken, my comments are for those who have high TC. I have clarified that in the second paragraph.
Jesus cheap AF. You work in tech and make more than enough. God you must be that annoying haggling customer at the store.
I make less than 40K a year tbh
You need to either ask for a raise or find a better job.
Frugal doesn't mean cheap. Apply common sense after all - $150 is an insane price for Disney for one person. Either you beat the system or system beats you. There are zillions of people going to Disney, they are making enough money, it's not that fun anymore as many years ago and even higher price doesn't stop the crowd :( Nothing wrong with looking for a way to save. Nobody earns money just to throw them away like it was easy and your boss didn't whoop your ass.
It sounds like you’re not aware of the cost of everything being more expensive. Look at the price of healthcare, housing and the cost of a ticket to the theater. Sure, tickets to Disneyland aren’t cheap, but the law of supply and demand dictates what they charge. It sounds to me like you really don’t want to visit the park that much or you would just cut out something else from your budget and suck it up to buy a Disney ticket.
Salaried cast get comp tickets (2+ based on dependents) twice a year. They're essentially 1day park hoppers and able to be given away to friends/family etc and don't require the cast member to be present. Didn't read in depth but I think that's what Inevsidl captured above. Salaried cast also don't have a limit to the number of entries in park and have guest passes (also unlimited entry) but, the cast member would need to be there to grant entry. Either way, just an FYI: "Disney World" is FL, and "Disney Land" is in CA. Not a semantic Nazi but, I point that out because things are vastly different at either park. There's far more flex here in FL than CA.
We are not allowed to sell como tickets if we get caught it is grounds for immediate termination, it is not worth the risk

Employees can not sell tickets as you might imagine. They can buy them for you at like 15% discount maybe. A main gate card is what employees get and there are different levels. But regardless of getting your friends into Disney for free, the employee needs to be there with their main gate and their employee ID, most main gates only allow like 6 guest entries per year too.
Damn—I mean it sucks ass that Amazon doesn’t have any valuable perks I can trade. Maybe somebody is willing to sell a discounted ticket tho.
actually, most Disney employees get 16 sign ins a year, with up to three guests on each one. add that to the (at least) 4 complimentary tickets that the employee does not need to be there for entry and you’re looking at about 52 free entries for friends + family a year, four of which can easily be donated/gifted to others with little to no contact from the employee at all. it’s not an outrageous request.
