Diversity Interview Question
how do you answer diversity question? I am all for diversity in work environment and in general. idk how to express that other than diversity minimizes discrimination and brings different point of view from different background If the interviewer ask you this, how would you answer it? 1) what does diversity mean to you? 2) why is diversity important?
I would tell them to f*ck off
Which company asks you this? Are you interviewing for a manager role or a role that has to do with diversity? Sounds like odd topic to discuss in an interview...

This isn’t a hard one you should hear the lip service all the time 1. Creating an inclusive environment where everyone from different backgrounds are represented and feel welcome 2. We must be inclusive of all people of all races and genders and lifestyles because they are citizens of our community. It is also proven that companies and teams with more diverse backgrounds perform better than those with less. Key points to hit - minorities are underrepresented and deserve more representation - different opinions from different backgrounds widens your point of view - also good for business

In order to build products for everyone, you need representation from everyone. Very simple. And there are lots of examples on the internet of engineering fails because the team was too homogenous.
Sounds like doordash. When i was asked question 1, I said something along the lines of diversity means not just different looks and backgrounds, but also different ways of approaching problems and fostering an environment to encourage input from those who would otherwise not have spoken up. I ended up getting an offer but turning it down.
I’d answer by leaving the interview.

If they’re bring up diversity in an interview, it’s an uber woke/PC company which is sacrifices actual work for BS wokeness. No tolerance for that crap.
