Considering an offer for L8. I well know that L7's get stack ranked/PIP'ed, but was wondering if the same happens to L8 and L10's... Any clues?

No they don't get the benefit / protections of any of those programs, they just get fired without recourse if they don't deliver.

Yes, this is true and confirmed. No pip at that level.

No pip for them but you have to go over dead bodies to become a L8... seen at least 10 -12 years of pip cycle if one started on L6

What does go over dead bodies mean?

I think if someone get sacked at that level he'll be asked to leave voluntarily on next Monday.

I think you would be asked to give notice, not asked to leave immediately unless there was malfeasance. I am an L7 and I know we can still be PIPed at my level but frankly if my manager or VP had issues with my performance I would be out of here too.

What's your YOE/experience? Curious what kind of people get hired externally for L7+...
