Just curious to know if Russians experience any kind of racism in America from Americans (living here from century)? Reason for asking this question is that America and Russia have always been on the opposite sides.
If youcan shed the accent, it’d be chill, i guess.
mostly stupid jokes
nothing actually harmful
stay on the coasts though. further inside america is less friendly to any immigrant
Not necessarily true, tons of Russians work in KC. Lots went to the Colleges here. I was a a part of a few Russian groups. No one has ever been less than friendly to them that I have seen.
Reverse racism. Our president worships Russians, esp. Russians with money. In SF there is a decent Russian community and they fit in well.
No they don’t.
No one cares if you are from Russia.
Nothing notable until Obama’s second term. Then the identity politics went completely off the rails and everyone got put into a little bucket with a label on it. Because we’re white, we all went in the white bucket. So we get to hear every day how privileged we are and how we’re the racists who enslaved Black people. There are so many levels on which that is wrong...
Male - no Female - you’re hot and we’re DTF
Whatever they experience wouldn't be called racism.
