Do all girls in Seattle hate tech guys?
Once a girl finds out I work in tech I never hear back from them. Is this a problem with Seattle in general where tech guys have a notorious reputation? And how did we fuck it up so badly? On dates where I don’t mention my job they go super well so it’s definitely not me. I’m a new grad and American. TC 150k (but I dont tell girls this on dates)

There is nothing shallow about this. It’s just way cooler than being a techie. Same reason if a girl says she’s an exotic dancer or a ballerina I’m More interested than if she is a nurse

Like SF, tech has made cost of living in Seattle explode upwards. Tech workers aren’t to blame for taking what a company will offer them for their skills, but for a lot of people, working in tech represents that kind of local inflation. Sucks, but it is what it is.
Tech = nerd
