Title says it all! Let us know where you live and whether you have guns or not and why / why not! Curious to see how many people are owning one and why / why not. Let‘s get started: Live in Europe, don‘t own one because it‘s hard to get one and you don‘t need it at all, because of the general safety!
No. Because owning guns is only common in the US, where people are stupid and were brainwashed by Hollywood to think they are fucking Rambo
We don’t own guns because of Hollywood
You live in the US? You are stupid. Checkmate.
Seattle area. Yes, shotgun and pistol. They’re fun to shoot, legal, and I like to exercise my right to own them. I also have a conceal carry permit although don’t often carry the pistol. Although I don’t need one I prefer to have one, especially the shotgun so that I’m able to mow down someone if they try invading my home. I never felt this way until I had a wife and son. I personally know someone who had their home attacked with an intent to rape/kill and I’d prefer to take someone like that out or go down shooting. No guns is fine too tho. 👍🏼
I don’t have an able body child yet, so I keep the pistol and ammo locked/separate but shotgun in hiding (not able to be accessed by children). Would have to be an idiot of an adult, without my knowledge, when I’m not around, which odds are nil. When my son is older I’ll get a large biometric safe so I can just keep everything loaded in there but those are expensive and large (small ones aren’t bad but I’m a bad shot with a pistol so need a big one for the shotty).
Shotgun is accessible to me. I have notifications of entry. Probably only 50/50 if it really came down to that but I’d take those odds vs the alternative. Will keep em safe tho, don’t worry about me Chuck ;)
YES. Why not?
The logic that you need a gun to keep yourself safe is hilarious. But very American I guess. Also that "general safety" you have here is because guns are hard to get. I live in Europe. I have no guns, lol.
I hunt & skeet shoot. I have a circle of friends who are avid firearm enthusiasts, none carry for “general safety”
Don’t lock your doors then. That’s hilariously paranoid as well. It’s all risk mitigation. Obviously being a wingnut or unsafe actually makes the risk worse not better, but there’s a reason armed security exists. It’s an additional layer. Don’t have to like it or have it, but I guarantee your CEO has it.
The framers of the US Constitution were smart. The US is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. The right to bear arms is for the security of a free state.
Gryzzly
No. Because I have kids, live in a very safe neighborhood and have a top of the line security system, and I sleep with nunchaku under my bed and I know how to use them and defend myself. Guns are fun. I love shooting them. But I wouldn’t own one unless I was living out in the wilderness or life was getting so crazy and erratic that I felt that I needed a gun in case of the long tail scenario of a zombie apocalypse, nuclear war, or massive natural disasters that turns civilized society into the lord of the flies. But that’s just me.
This is very responsible. Some of my friends with kids keep their guns at the range. Or with me. Key phrase: “Guns are fun”
nunchaku under your bed, and a waifu pillow on your bed?
Yes, for safety and self-defense. Do you think u can beat invader without guns?
Let’s cut the bullshit. Only politicians talk about carrying guns for personal safety. You must live in some jacked up economically deprived space to need this. I’m Midwest, NRA, pro-responsible gun ownership and also very pro going to the range and popping the hammer on an AR-15. If you’re too much in a bubble to see that you can bleed blue (whatever the fuck that means to you) and still want to hunt and cook your own dinner. Then, bless your heart, silly child, because you’ll be blind forever.
This is why I’m friends with gun owners. So I can join them when they go to the range. It’s crazy fun. But yeah, if you’re not living amongst the wolves and bears, or homies looking to pop a cap in your ass, a gun for defense is a silly idea. Guns are 99.9% for fun and for hunting. I have zero issues with responsive gun ownership. Just wish we tightened up some loose ends on how easy it is for the wrong people to get a gun is all.
Owning guns is what insures the freedom of every American. It's also why no country will ever invade America. Who wants to Invade a country who's citizens have more weapons than any army on earth lol.
Who wants to invade a country that spends more on defense than the next seven countries combined?
loooooool Americans are insane
