How difficult is the Netflix interview? I'm a bit intimidated...I'm interviewing for a full stack position there... Any tips? How hard is it compared to G? FB? Thanks guys in advance!
Netflix is no harder to get into than any other fang at the senior level. What Netflix has done is smart, they only hire senior engineers who have experience in exactly what they need. Interview is solely behavioral about your experience and system design working at Netflix scale. No whiteboard coding. If you worked on scalable systems and were a top-performer in previous role your in. If you didn’t or aren’t, don’t bother applying bc even if they do hire you you’ll be fired in a month.
Damn...so you truly need scalable systems experience...
Yea Netflix works at a huge scale they support their own datacenters at rates that rival google search and AWS as they deliver HD video to everyone’s home across the globe. They routinely take down while datacenters just for fun to prove their systems can support outages
Don't need to be a rockstar, but do need to be highly competent. If we like you we'll pay a lot. But we're human just like everyone else. No fresh grads, only experienced folks.
Meh, just read up on the culture deck and be prepared to (fake) culture BS and you are in. For people who are claiming they had white board coding questions, ask them the level of the questions, you’ll literally rofl, they aren’t even to the leetcode easy level. And don’t worry, if you successfully fake the culture BS, you don’t even need to answer the easy coding questions correctly. My team literally hired two engineers recently bcoz my manager chose to override the feedback from the team on literally zero coding skills. His justification was the candidates rocked in the culture rounds.

Did the googlers deserve to get FIRED?
Especially now since the company is tumbling in the market because they've hired too many woke people instead of engineers
