      Thanks.

I don’t use it because Java is a horrible programming language and most Java programmers are idiots.

If you’re looking for a programming language that’s an improvement on Java, I’d suggest any programming language other than Java.

There's a saying online that "there's the programming languages that you love, and then there's the programming languages that you know"
I've learned Java, Python, Ruby, C, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic (it was gross), and even Scala. Scala had an edge until these improvements that have been made for java 8 and beyond. The only other language that I'd use over java is Python.

That would explain why he's never heard of Spring

These kind of magic intensive frameworks are exactly the reason Java gets a bad reputation. It's way more important your framework is debugging friendly than easy to start with or highly compostable.

Ever tried Ruby on Rails? If you're doing it right, you use the CLI more than your text editor.

I use spring boots. Can’t compost it as it’s synthetic rubber though.

fyi Spring and Spring Boot are 2 different frameworks. You really should have asked 3 questions: (1) Do you use Spring Boot, (2) Do you use Spring, (3) Don’t use either

I like spring-boot better than spring. In simple terms, spring boot is an easy form of spring framework which has auto configuration feature. Spring boot makes life much easy.
