I keep seeing online that they do, but wasn’t sure if it’s only for the fulfillment centers. I’ll be working in the headquarters in Seattle
Yes it does. No, we all have failed it.
Not my team
I just moved here recently and my first night in town met an Amazon manager while sitting at the bar who (without any inquiry) recommended a dispensary and let me know that Amazon doesn’t test. So either Amazon doesn’t test or he doesn’t work for Amazon and was messing with me to get me fired. 🤔
Never heard of that practice, though maybe outside of corporate (fulfillment centers, call centers, data centers).
They do not drug test. Every engineer would fail.
Hell no - at least not in corporate. Probably yes if you drive a forklift. If they did, the aisles would clear out a lot, like almost every tech company.
Not in corporate, maybe in FC
They do if you work with gov classified stuff (aws gov springs to mind). That comes with polygraph and the whole 9 yards. Never heard of it outside that.
They do random test in Fulfillment Centers but not in Corporate.

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
Maybe there is tech like the Go store where they properly capture everyone’s urine that goes into the bathrooms and it is properly catalogued and tested. I have never been tested, though, nor know anyone that has. Are you on meth? What most people are using is pot and it’s legal in WA.
While legal in Washington, still illegal federally, so employers may choose to not hire for a failed test. However Amazon does not drug test for corporate.
Some health insurances are also cheaper for large companies if they know the people they are covering are drug free. Rightly or wrongly marijuana is one of the drugs that will raise the individual rate.
