I interviewed there when I was leaving El Google. Didn't find their roadmap interesting enough to join. I had talked to the team and their VP.

Amazon Breyers OP Jan 2, 2019

When did you interview?

Uber kisht Jan 2, 2019

Mid/end 2017.

Everyone always talks down on Dropbox but they've been in the game for 11 years and they're still here. I don't think you have anything to lose OP. Realistically you'll probably only be there 1-2 years anyway. Enjoy it!

Google Evenflow Jan 2, 2019

Why is that realistic?

Tesla šŸ‰ā›ˆ Jan 2, 2019

Just based off the average tenure of anyone in tech.

Iā€™m leaving Apple for Dropbox. Had offers at Google, salesforce, Uber as well. Besides the great package from Dropbox, I felt the culture is super positive, very nice and would be a huge change from the toxic environment that Apple was. From a future perspective, I disagree with the fact that they donā€™t have a future. Theyā€™ve been here for 11 years, have most of peopleā€™s data and are now ready take this to the next level. With all the privacy drama these days, they are better off than google drive. Box is only an enterprise offering, one drive doesnā€™t have much peopleā€™s data. Adding some new features (I canā€™t talk about their new roadmaps here) will take the company to new heights. I would stay really focused on the great pay and mostly the amazing culture they showcased. It really was eye opening!! PM me for more details if I can help.

How was the culture toxic at Apple? Was it just s few bad apples or the team?

Apple HotCookie Jan 2, 2019

First of all the organization operated like a mafia. Higher ups would hire their friends and bring back old colleagues and operate like a frat. I hated that, especially when i tried to have people I know, who would definitely fit the role hired. Then jealousy, bad culture, cut throat, very fake personalities where in your face/ at meeting everything seems alright. But outside of the meeting room they would bash others and call them names and disagree with them while at the table no one had concerns about anything. Etc...

How useful a dolly when you have a huge truck? No need for it, your truck can fit all your needs. Dropbox is a dolly.

Vertivco FastPapuan Jan 2, 2019

Can't fit trucks into and between buildings.

There's been some turnover recently because people could finally cash out and move on, but we've got good cash flow. I like the people, I like that we're small enough that an individual can make a difference, and that we're big enough to be in any conversation. Also our food is better than yours. šŸ˜‰

Amazon Breyers OP Jan 2, 2019

Your good is better than ours? Did you mean product?

Square Fek Jan 2, 2019

Think he meant food.

Google 23&@1 Jan 2, 2019

OP, whatā€™s your offer? Same question to HotCookie too
