Why are you reconsidering? To answer your question, no. The only 100% sure way i can think of getting black listed is if you are already in visa processing. If this is just very recently then its not a big deal..

Had a much better offer from another faang right after I gave my verbal acceptance

How much was the offer ?

I work at FB - it wouldn’t look good, obviously, but you wouldn’t be “blacklisted.” Blame it on a family emergency or some other personal reason. Or you can also just decline the offer, that might be a better way to go so it makes it seem like the offer wasn’t competitive enough TC wise. Why are you reconsidering?

Gave verbal acceptance though after a round of salary discussion. I got a much better option from another faang right after that

I would just be honest and say you got a better offer from another company, and unless FB can match, you have to do what’s best for you and your family. The recruiter should have asked you if you were actively interviewing elsewhere, and would have ideally known this could happen if our offer couldn’t compete. Do what you want - don’t worry about a verbal accept. You didn’t sign anything.
