Does Google India only do maintenance work ?
Are there any teams in Hyderabad / Bangalore working on good projects ? If it's mostly maintenance work, why do people even join Google India ?

Everyone has different priority. Some like good work, some like no work, some like more money for less work
Lot of new teams opening. Lot of new features being worked upon. Noone is doing maintenance work
Payments and tez teams are partially in India as well.
I think NBU is moving to India. So there is chance if good work. There hasn't been steady top level leadership, so even so e promising projects were moved back to MTV. Hopefully with NBU focus, things will improve. Yes, there are large GSuite teams in Bangalore.
Any Search, Infra or YouTube teams in India? What about Maps?
Maps and search are there. Even ads is there. Lot of infra teams are also there
