Does HackerRank forward the code as well with the submission report for coding tests?
Do companies get the code submitted by candidate in hackerrank coding challenge? Do companies look at code or just number of test cases passed?

They get everything. Even a re-play your work (how fast you work, test case you write / your test attempts and the results, etc)
I don't think companies would spend so much of time in replaying. Looking at code seems reasonable though.
Not saying that they would but the question is what do the companies get access to
