1. Worked at least 1 year outside the US in SAP entity 2. Been a people or functional manager (or both) for 1 year outside the US 3. Joining the US SAP entity in the same role (ie people or functional mgr) 4. SAP internal has to decide whether the role is considered as managerial. 5. People manager is a strong case from US immigration point of view.
This sounds like a general process for any companies that sponsor for L1a though. Have you heard specific cases?
I received an L1-B sponsorship with only 1 year of experience @SAP and at T1 level. Got promoted to a T2 as part of the transfer. It highly depends on the team and your manager.
