Does Uber give stock/options to new Software devs?
I am currently interviewing for Software dev in Payments, Amsterdam. I am wondering if that's part of the offer.
Stock=yes. Options = No
Now that Uber goes to IPO soonish, are Uber RSUs considered a show stopper when deciding between offers?
Why? RSUs are great when you get close to IPO. With options that close to going public, you have a bigger risk of having a strike price above the market price when the lock down period is over for employee which would mean a loss on all your options... Whereas RSUs are free money...
Yes, we give decent equity, in the form of RSUs. We’ve had people join from booking. RSUs and comp will be dependent on your level (determined during interviewing), we now have an equal pay policy that is followed. Good luck with the interview!
Only RSUs since 2014. But they still give.
