Dui doesn't show up on background check. Unless your job is related to driving, there's another background check for that.
DUI is not a minor traffic citation, it involves an arrest and possible conviction. Why would criminal history be skipped in a background check? It likely would not prevent someone from getting hired, but they would see it.
Please do your research. Being pulled over for dui is only a misdemeanor offense. It's only more serious with an accident, injury, or death. I know for a fact it doesn't come up in background check for tech because my buddy went through it. I even saw his background check file. His conviction was less than 3 years ago. If it's a misdemeanor, definitely doesn't come up.

A DUI is a criminal offense. It’s a public record. So public that you will be denied entry to any of the Big 5 automatically. (US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand). As soon as they will scan your passport at the custom, it will show up on their screen.
