    This happens in every Reddit thread. OP will ask a legitimate question, but the first poster fixates on some minor detail of the post and every other poster does the same without answering the original question.

      And nobody puts effort into trying to steer the conversation to something more germane. Then 80% of the conversation is about this one tiny thing, when we should be devoting our energy to not missing the forest for the trees.
