Does anyone here invest in natural resources? Any experiences to share?

I own Brookfield Energy and Brookfield Infrastructure, two stocks that are in that field. They're Canadian and thus in a country with perhaps the most abundant natural resources in the world. I like owning them and feel safe knowing they're in my portfolio.
