Hearing from my peers, Bloomberg is notorious for it. Does it happen at your company? This is not restricted to H1B but also others like L1, O1, pending i485 etc. If yes, please do the needful and name the company.
My friend works at Bloomberg and I just helped them negotiate a 30% base salary raise with a competing offer.
nice, so your friend took BBG's counteroffer to stay?
Many voted yes. When there is a debate whether h1b lowers the wage, most of Blind users always defend that h1b can’t and they get the same salary. I think people who post comments are a specific group of people.
Companies can not justify H1B sponsorship if it’s not a high paying job.By lowball, you you must probably be counting pennies over or under the company’s standard salary range. Although, for legal purposes, it’s only the base salary that matters. So yes, visa holders can be lowballed on stocks, bonuses etc. But they won’t be employed if their base pay is low .. just not possible under the immigration system
