Because I get to do what I love, I have a hard time asking for more money. I work full time as a video editor and my boss is definitely making good money off me but I have a really hard time reconciling that I love what I do. I don't make much money at all and I'm suffering and other aspects of my life. I think especially in America that you're supposed to suffer for good money. has anyone found a balance? And specifically with video production, are there full-time jobs that pay well and still allow for creative freedom?
You should get what your effort and skills are worth. Why should it matter that you love doing it to your employer?
Remember. What comes easy to you isn’t necessarily cheap. Charge people for that!
I also do what I love, doesn’t mean I’m willing to work for less.
