Don't Be Evil: Google Fires SJWs

Was Google right to fire these SJWs or should the SJWs have paid more attention to their work? I think the best way to boycott a company is not to work there or not give them your money. Thoughts? https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/25/technology/google-fires-workers.html

There's a difference between bringing your views to work and indignantly disrupting others abilities to work

Google nahdude Nov 26, 2019

Well said, they are trying to phrase to make it look less damaging to themselves. These people have been at the company for less than a year and were acting like the L9 vision guy.

I think one person was fired for leaking company secrets or something

eBay mDBW53 Nov 26, 2019

Still. You shouldn’t fire an SJW because the headlines won’t mention that bit.

Fastest way to bring 0 TC = using company internal tools to promote views

Amazon weeeeeeee Nov 26, 2019

Weren’t they being disruptive and organizing during working hours? They were way too comfortable.

Facebook jSHa71 Nov 26, 2019

This poll is silly where is the option for "The SJWs shouild have not violated their employment agreement"?

Square ygkotsf Nov 26, 2019

This should show employees with a conscience that they actually can’t expect to change the company from the inside

Google 🦊in🐔🏠 Nov 26, 2019

This could give additional moral license to the leakers

AbbVie xtkb06 Nov 26, 2019

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean they “don’t have a conscience.” There are plenty of ways to promote change within an organization. Being subversive and violating your employment agreement isn’t one of them. You’ll also have to expect that not everything you strive to change will actually change and that’s where you decide whether to continue working there.

They didn’t just bring their views to work. Let’s be honest. They did a lot more than that.

Uber ShlukMktzv Nov 26, 2019

This is beyond ethics. Having hardcore SJW like this in your company is just a bad business practice. Plus they make life really non fun. Even being around SJWs just kinda ruins the vibe.

Unchecked sjw activism is a cancer. There’s always a time and a place. The last job I worked was at a startup. I was in charge of getting new accounts. All was going really well. Till we started having SJW activism on which accounts we should take. Unfortunately it had become a democratic process instead of executive decisions. Within a couple of quarters we lost all big accounts from FB to Uber over something or the other. Eventually they had to downsize because they weren’t making any money. Me and a bunch of others got canned and ironically the SJW cancer continued to keep their jobs. I wish the Execs had the balls like google to identify and remove the cancer.

Amazon TiCi Nov 26, 2019

Meanwhile here at Amazon, SJWs aren’t even a thing and promotion oriented behavior and politics is the norm

Uber ShlukMktzv Nov 26, 2019

That sounds preferable to me.

I assume that when people decide to do these kind of things, they fully understand termination is a possibility
