DoorDash signs up restaurants without asking them

https://www.wxyz.com/news/doordash-is-delivering-food-without-permission-restaurant-says “DoorDash makes money by 'RESELLING' our food at higher prices," he wrote. "They also charge more for delivery. Between the mistakes on DoorDash listing for our business and trying to take the order over the phone from someone 1/2 way around the world who doesn't understand our product or what the customer really was trying to order we simply can't guarantee a DoorDash order to be correct or accurate."

Man, the more I think about it, these examples have shown me real legit and successful software is like artwork...

My biggest complaint about Door Dash is they are not available when I want it. For example I know the taco place across town is open at 2 am, don't tell me they are closed when I try to order it at midnight.

For me, it’s the other way around. The app tells me Taco Bell is open at 2am and delivery estimate is ~40 mins. After I order, I find that there are no dashers nearby and it’ll be 5am until I get my food.

So? This is clever and if they can get demand why not?

Unethical

Facebook public2 Nov 13, 2019

How is that unethical? That's literally how almost every goods business work. Someone makes something and a string of folks sell it over and over until it reaches an end consumer. You can buy directly from a manufacturer but most people buy from Amazon etc. You can also buy directly from a restaurant but if you are willing to pay someone else a fee to order and get it for you how is that unethical? The restaurant could decline to offer takeout if they wanted to.
