Driving license (Requirement)

I will be joining a company in California on a receipt notice.

Need to get the driving license of the California State already have a driving license of Maryland.

Can anyone please tell me what all documents are required in order to transfer from a Maryland driving license to California Driving license

    Hardest part is getting appointment at CA DMV. It is the worst of any DMVs in the country.

    I was confused which notice do I need to submit the one which is approved by Employer A or the receipt notice from employer B

      Take both. They will need an approval notice from old employer and also i94. Don’t be alarmed, if they say “we need to verify with DHS” since you are still waiting for transfer to complete. Happened to me, and they resolved it and sent me the license in few weeks.

      Check DMVs which are open on Saturdays and show up around 3-30. There won’t be a huge line.

      CA DMV appointments have long backlogs. Your best bet is to go and stand in line at 6:30AM

    You need to reappear for the online test at DMV. It automatically doesn’t transfer without giving the test. I’ve had to go through it recently. You won’t have to appear for behind the wheel test, just the q/a
