How to save India from destruction?
Hello! I was curious about what the product manager university graduate position at Dropbox entails (and also how easy or difficult it is to get). Does anyone happen to know what kind of background is expected for this entry-level role?
It’s for those that just recently graduated from university (less than a year) and is interested in becoming a PM. Masters or bachelors (excluding PhD and MBA). Background is usually some sort of tech and business background, but I’ve seen a mix of backgrounds apply and get accepted.
Thanks for replying! Do you think successful applicants do anything in particular besides preparing answers to interview questions? I could be wrong, but I can’t imagine most college students applying for this would really have PM experience already.
I think what separates candidates if they can think about the why from the what. It’s important for any PM to do so, but usually new grads focus on the what and not the why which leads them to creating products that are “cool” but not what customers are needing/wanting. If you can take a step back and think through the questions asked and the logic behind the decisions, then you can separate yourself from others.
