Dropbox vs. Atlassian

Community, Please help me deciding which new place would be a better jump. Considering engineering caliber, learning curve, people/culture, products, stock growth. I am interested in sticking to a place for a minimum of 2 years. It would be important to me to consider which place would better help me in further job hops. Both offers are around 240 TC with slight difference. Title doesn’t matter. Please also share why you think one choice would be better than the other. Current TC - 185

I’m just not sure about the enterprise success of Dropbox aka sustainable 🚀 growth.

Atlassian !available Feb 11, 2019

Which team are you joining? Is it in MTV or SF?

I had a positive experience interviewing at Dropbox on a prior cycle, but took a job elsewhere. I really dig it here at Atlassian. All things being equal you won't go wrong with either and both are big enough companies that what team you land on may make as big a difference as the company. I think we always make team match before offer except for some new grads, not sure about Dropbox. What does the commute look like for each assuming you don't plan to move? How does the particular team tech stack look at each?

The stock clearly speaks the opposite, dropbox.

What’s the culture like at Atlassian? Really enjoying Dropbox culture.

May depend on teams/location but MTV is small enough that I can generalize a bit... It's pretty laid back. I'm used to longer hours and have been told at times not to take deadlines all on my shoulders and go home already. People actually take a fair bit of time off, and the "open company no bullshit" value is taken seriously - way more internal transparency than at any other *large* company I've been at.
