Dublin to mountain view commute?
Planning to put down an offer on a house in Dublin. How is the commute from Dublin to Mountain View? Is Dublin a good place to stay and work in South Bay?

MV is too far from Dublin. It takes 45-60 mins to get to San Jose, so I guess you would add 45 mins more? Express lane might help in the morning but no escape in the evening until they build the express lane which will take 2 years I think.
I thought so. That's the only place I can afford a house though :-(

The commute is awful. 45 mins with carpool if you leave super early in the morning. 1-1.5 hours on the way back with carpool. Without carpool.. 2hrs. Don't do it unless you company has shuttles. You will burn out
About 1.75-2 hours ea way from Dublin to Mtn View. Try to get a remote job. Thereβs a reason why itβs cheaper there. It is nicer there. Iβm all for owning property.
Shit rotten all damn day long. Worst commute in the Bay Area.
