I’m interested in working in the gaming industry — and I’m wondering which company is a better place to work. From friends I hear EA has better culture — is this true? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each?

Lots of politics and it’s definitely an old boy’s club; hard to go too high up not as an original 100 employee.
Plus bonus structure is not tied very closely to personal performance so little incentive to exceed (cash bonus with very small upside compared to RSUs)
Also not every employee is given a chance to go to GDC or E3 or wherever. Only a few lucky ones.
They have a good future, EA doesn’t
