yesterday at the EB-5 Conference in Seattle , the Chief of Visa numbers at the department of state forecasted that Indians applying now for EB-5 green card can get their green card in 6.7 years , he also said that eb2/3 will take 50-70 years, this guy is the final authority on the monthly visa bulletin. so if you are on the fence about the EB-5 visa , this is the time to apply at $500,000 before Nov 21st 2019 when the investment limit goes to $900,000.
People with usc kids have to wait max 21 years after their child is born
So Charles Oppenheim said it will take 50 to 70 yrs to get a green card in EB2 category? Can you send out the source/link?
20 years or 70 years its all the same.
Is it 6-7 years or 6.7? 6.7 seems oddly specific.
There is a lot of fraud in EB-5 visas. Be careful, they might just take your money and not invest as promised.
Put that money in three etf portfolio for 50 years your 500k might become 5 million considering returns of around 7 to 8% annualized
Just take that 500k, go back to India and work remote. US is the third world country. Everything too expensive, terrible WLB, corrupt and toxic culture. I say this as an American.
If someone on h1b has even $500K or may be $900K next year onwards, moving to any developed, if not developing, country will be as good as staying in bay area / nyc area. Tell me what am I missing?
Folks at such seminars employ scare tactics. I attended a session too and it seemed extremely shady.
This is straight from the horse's mouth, Charlie Oppenheim is the head of visa numbers at the department of state, he doesn't work for a private organization. He simply states the facts.
