EB1 (A) for Technology Managers

While I'm in EB2 line, I'm exploring to bump it to EB1A. Anyone been able to successfully do it? If yes, could you share your experience? - 10+ business publications - 5+ Judging - Critical Role supported by leaders - High salary (borderline)

Eb1A has a lot of rejections these days.. is there a way you can portray your application for eb1b criteria?

I am not into research, and the articles are business articles. Therefore, almost impossible to support article citations. Is EB1B still feasible?

Intel rewt May 15, 2019

Would be tough to go for EB1B.. you would have to show research for that role..

EB1A is self petition. Irrespective of your EB2 you can always apply for EB1A but it has recently become astronomically difficult.

PwC Mkwj57 OP May 14, 2019

I agree. Too high standards are being applied. Not sure if that is country specific... Are you or anyone you know was able to get approval recently?

EB1-A and B I guess are self petition , but from the post I see the candidate is looking for EB1-C as heading says Technology manager . For EB1-c there is no self petition

Nvidia monolith May 14, 2019

EB1B is not self petition. It is employer sponsored. So is EB1C.

PwC Mkwj57 OP May 14, 2019

Employer can't do EB1c as I was not international transferee manager. EB1 a is the only option, if at all.

What is the high salary range in this case?

+1

PwC Mkwj57 OP May 16, 2019

Mine is at exactly 90th percentile (OES standard) in my region (State/City). National is much higher. I heard that it should be 25% above 90th to be able to claim high salary.

Why do you guys feel it’s become harder compared to before? Could you share some data?

Nvidia monolith May 14, 2019

You can go to trackitt and look at the cases. It is harder than before because previously people with 50 citations some review experience and papers got it approved quite easily. Currently people with 500+ citations etc are quite easily getting RFE’s and eventually a reject. The RFE’s are mainly in the area of “major significance of work in the field” which unfortunately is very hard to prove.

Thanks, I’ll check that out. Citations and papers seem to point to the difficulty of EB1-B am I correct?
