After a few months of vacillation, I've finally decided to apply EB5 route, but am intimidated by the decisions involved. I believe I have a fair understanding of the process, but feeling lost when it comes to searching, evaluating and picking a lawyer and an investment. I am willing to settle for little or no interest, but would like to minimize the risk to my GC and principal. Anyone who has done this before have tips to offer? Please DM me if you don't want to comment, or leave a comment and I will DM you. PS: I know I'm lucky and not everyone has that option.
I haven’t personally but I have a few aqua tenancies that have done this
I am thinking of doing the same. Do you want to join forces and sync up about this?
Do you know what you're going to invest in ?
TC?
Contact renowned immigration law firms like Fragomen (personally don’t like them), BAL, Pearl etc. They charge higher fees but you have a good law firm on hand. They usually suggest regional centers for investment depending on their previous experience dealing with them but won’t recommend any. You have to do the research & select. PS: I haven’t done it but spoke to my company immigration law firm to get an idea. Legal fees is around 35k for engaging these firms to do all your paperwork. Btw, try to decide and invest by Dec 2018 and get your application submitted. The current EB5 policies are good until end of this year.
China already has years of backlog. India will follow soon. The number of visas allotted per country for eb5 is far less than other Eb categories like 2 and 3. Can fill up fast. We only have data till 2016, so decide.
PM me, I applied a couple months back.
OP I like your username.
Thanks. I created this when I was mulling over whether to stay or leave.
Wonder this is how all fang employees are dealing with faster route for green card...soon there might be backlog for eb5 as well
The backlog is expected to kick in early next year.
