Filed for i140 in Feb 2017, got RFE in April 2018. Filed evidence last week. When should I expect a reply?

Haha same situation as me. I also filed i140 in Feb 2017. You should response it by mid July. I sent an RFE document today.

It takes one year for USCIS to reply to your eb1-a application and come back with an RFE? I thought I-140 reply would be quick for eb1a

Current waiting period for I-140 for EB1 is around 15mnths

Do pp

Oracle Tryme May 15, 2018

High chance of RFE if you go for pp for EB1

Amazon Melh May 15, 2018

Great you get RFE sooner than 15 fucking months

Oracle Tryme May 15, 2018

What kind of information they are looking for for ur RFE?

EB1A RFE response takes ~4w, but the worst was that my approval was on someones desk at lawyers for another 3-4 weeks. USCIS status update did not change for months, so be sure to stalk your lawyer if it seems to take longer. (this was with another employer)

Thanks. My expectation was also 4-6 weeks. I already got receipt update through the portal. So that side is taken care. :)

How did you qualify for EB-1A? Filing yourself or employer? Just curious.

Apple vcVg33 Jun 26, 2018

One qualifies by being a bad-ass alien with exceptional abilities. ;) Employer (not current) filed and paid, but the A variant is technically a self-petition, so not tied to any employer/position.

Doesn't one need to be a PhD with a certain number of publications?

Wondering if you can share the RFE detail?

Apple vcVg33 Jun 26, 2018

The RFE is about your evidence (or rather lack of strong evidence), the claimed categories they reject, so there is no point in sharing an EB1A RFE as every case is different. But assume they will question the weight of every piece of evidence. eg. If you won an award, how exceptional is it or can everyone get it, is it hard to get, did anyone else that is exceptional won it. If you spoke at conferences how big or important are these events, who else of importance speaks there, do professionals pay to see that or is it a free event. If you appeared in published works how many readers does it get etc... So it’s not sufficient to have evidence that fits the claimed categories, it needs to show that not everyone can do the same.
