Email from hire_the_best@email.amazon for an interview.
Hello all, I received an email from the above address "Amazon wants to interview you" for the position you have applied and asked to provide 1 hour phone availability in the link provided . "Excellerated Hiring SJC18 (ID: 825574) position in East Palo Alto, USA". I havent applied to such position. Wanted to know if anyone has received recently related like this from Amazon. There is a recruting coordinator email address mentioned there. But just thought to post here before inmailing them in Linkedln.
My recruiter sucked, almost to the point where I didn’t want to take the job because of them

They do it all the time as somebody pass your resume around. Take it! You can email recruiter and ask more details. Most of the people forget about you if you don't follow-up

For anyone coming across this: the email is real. I got an email from the same address, and in my case I was even given a contact at Amazon (with a @amazon.com address) who confirmed my interview timings.
Yeah, Amazon recruiting is really bad. If you want to work at Amazon in that role you can follow up and go through the process, but don't expect any transparency at all.
