Anyone know what the average salary for a developer on a presidential candidate's campaign team looks like? I don't expect it to be mind-blowing, just looking for any data points that might be out there :)
Ask Hillarys email guy. That dude is super dead
Don’t expect much. I’ve seen 70k - 120k depending on a lot. The real play is to make connections for a real job afterwards. It’s a strategic play like everything in politics.
You may after all meet the requirements to work at Albertsons after that.
Honestly the best play I’ve seen is developing software that can be sold to associations for fundraising purposes. Figure out how that can play out and you’re good to go.
NGP VAN and Nation Builder are definitely doing a good job of it.
There are other smaller players that have built profitable business as well. Software is a positive sum game.
Isnt it volunteer unpaid type work? I think it'd be peanuts if any.
Aren't you working there already
Why would they need a dedicated tech team? At most id assume they hire a contracting firm and maybe one FTE
Cambridge Analyticaaaaa
The Obama campaign had a notably great tech team - they were analytics heavy and figured out how to unlock small, average voter donations as compared to previous campaigns. It’s really not so different from retail, if you think about it.
