I don't how the recruitment works at Intel for internships and NCG's. I have never got a call from Intel by directly applying on websites. I heard same from my friends. I know most of the positions will be filled internally. But every one needs to get a fair chance right? I don't when this thing will stop. I need some suggestions from some Intel guys how they feel on this thread. Thanks #intel
Intel is heavily biased towards hiring RCGs in engineering (other areas it is the opposite).
Just keep applying! One person of the 4-5 candidate pool is always hired, no matter the overall quality of the pool! Good luck!
I applied to every Intel HW position over 2 years. Took referral from friends. Gave my resume to recruiters at career fair. I never got a call from Intel. I did get calls from almost every other company lol
I used to get reject emails after 2 years of application. Intels' online portal application is a seer joke, NCG or experienced. The only way I have seen folks getting hired in Intel are either your Intel contact hand overs your resume and convinces the Hiring Manager OR you are randomly chosen for some pool interviews taking place somewhere away from where you live which doesn't happen too often.
Blame it partly on middle men aka recruiters. I actually prefer to look at resumes myself and pick the ones suited for my team than getting filtered by recruiter.

While referrals do have a slight advantage, Online application does work. Best place to secure internship and/or full time positions for RCG would be during career fair at the the college where they got their BS or MS or PhD. I used to get candidates from career fairs pretty easily.
