Is there an equivalence of a white house press secretary in tech? I've always been good at talking and feel like it would be a good blend of my tech and speaking skills. I am more interested in becoming a spokesperson for the goverment regarding tech or representing a big firm in technology. Biotech firms sound good too. Not sure if there is anything like that or how to get started.
Musk's press secretary.. here a nugget from that person for his latest trouble “Last month, following Elon’s announcement that he was considering taking the company private, Tesla received a voluntary request for documents from the DOJ and has been cooperative in responding to it,” the spokesperson told Jalopnik by email. “We have not received a subpoena, a request for testimony, or any other formal process. We respect the DOJ’s desire to get information about this and believe that the matter should be quickly resolved as they review the information they have received.”
But does his job require any technical skillsets as well? He sounds more like a lawyer.
Chief of Staff of a executive of a publicly traded company.
James Kyle already holds this position
That sounds like a cool position to have. I’d say a middle ground you can take is to just start speaking up as much as possible. I’m sure at Amazon there are PLENTY of meetings and or events where you have a chance to speak your mind. If you’re really as good as you say, people will always push you to be the spokesperson and soon enough you’ll naturally land your way into a position more dedicated for that role.
Brad Smith fills that role at Microsoft. But a lot of what he talks about are overtly political positions that Microsoft is taking and many think he's an insufferable douche because of it

Hm, for some reason I associate that term with a marketer which kind of turns me off from it.
