I'm at Amazon in a finance role making 160k in Seattle. I have 7 years of experience...Do you guys think I can do better? Should I look at Finance roles in Tech or should I start looking into banks? I'm afraid that banks will pay possibly more with bonus but have ridiculous working hours...

- Banks have mostly hit a perpetual 1-3% growth rate. This implies that growth is stalled. Results in constant churn. That results in low maturity processes and tech. Their tech stack is old, fragmented and has different set of priorities.
Politics at Banks is at an elevated level due to limited opportunities when compared to Amazon. Cultures suck at Banks. You have to be very savvy or you'd get whooped.
