Google T4, 150k base, 500k stock, 25k sign on.
Facebook E5, 180k base, 600k stock, 50k sign on.

Offers are final. Stock is over 4 years. 15% yearly bonus. Both positions are in Seattle. Google’s team is pretty cool. Facebook has bootcamp.

Go to FB and if you really want Google, try again after a year. 9 yoe seems like you're down leveling.

I'd also push on the FB offer. I got a higher base than you with less than 4 yoe.

Funny how you guys assume that years of experience directly translate to how much someone should be paid.

I had a total of seven offers including Netflix and Google along with Facebook which helps push my comp for my level. I actually had two other offers where the TC was higher than what I accepted with Facebook.

Competing offers won't push your TC that high though. I received a senior role for every single offer. Believe it or not, there are people out there with less experience who can do a better job than those with more.

It was the same. The two larger offers were Netflix and Airbnb.

55 hours avg. If you are in infra, then 60+ for MA. 70+ to exceed expectations.

Don't believe the lies that work smart. Your peers are working smart and putting 55-70 hours

Based on my experience, I would say 60 hours to get meet all rating is about right.

Just worked through interviewbit.com, as someone recommended here on Blind. It took me a few months, but eventually both interviews appeared fairly simple: G was about medium difficulty, FB was easy. Probably I came over prepared.

I voted fb, comp much better today, no need to wait 1+ year in best case scenario to catch up.
That said, wlb is important too, 60k difference in pay is probably around 30k after tax. For some people this is not worth the extra hours.

      Amazing. We don't give out E5 to 63. Typically 64 and 65 gets E5.

      Well done

I had my interview on a Thursday and received an offer by the following Thursday.

They have specific days where they meet to review candidates. If there are too many, it could be that your application would be reviewed the following week.

I did. It was definitely harder than the rest. If you interview with them, they'll send you a study guide. Anything on that study guide is fair game. It's really intense.

I recommend getting really comfortable with graphs, dynamic programming, and recursion. You should also be pretty great at big O analysis.

9.5 yoe. 1.5 as 63. Not enough to get T5 at Google, apparently. A friend of mine was 64 with 11 yoe, still got T4 with a bit higher numbers.
