Hi folks, I need your help for evaluating the offer I have received. 9 years of experience Santa clara, G8 160k/30k (APB 4.5%) before GEO/50k RSU Unvested RSU is a big portion currently, and even considering just this year’s vesting, no big incentive though, so wonder how much I can go further.
Apb is not 4.5%.. it is personal multiplier multiplied with company target(typically 3.5 to 4).. thats total apb.. and u get quarterly bonus as well(separate).. i think apb can go higher to 5-6 for g8. Base is very good for G8.. how much is geo adjustment? Btw they got lower on Raus these days
8% for bay area. 9 yrs would be G8?
8% on top of base? If so thats very good base..yes 9yrs is typical G8 offer.. ask for apb of 6+ if possible.. you could try higher rsus as well
Hardware engineer or swe?
Run
It is a pretty decent offer. Lot depends on your org, job code and what peers are making.
That’s a good offer .. take it..
Btw.. is it modem team?
Pathetic offer.. intel is dying.. why do u want to join the gang suicide ?
Intel is where careers go to die. Proceed with caution.
Hank..r u memory guy from Intel pre silicon team ?
Do we know each other? This is me, Hank Hill. I'm originally from Arlen, Texas where I used to sell propane and propane accessories at Strickland Propane but then went back to school to become an engineer in the Bay Area. I eventually ended up at Intel where my career died. I was better off selling propane and coaching high school football back in Texas. 😉😉😉
160 base is very less With 9 years of experience in bay area ..what is 30K and what 4.5 APB comes up ? Or 4.5 APB equals to 30K ?
I think they have the scaling factor of 3, so a bit less than 20% including APB and QPB. Base is before geo difference
I think Intel gives roughly 13% hike for Geo difference on base pay which do not count towards APB or QPB
