I have an L7 offer from AWS in midwest. Q 1) TC - 370-400. I was expecting more. Are they low balling? Any comments? Q 2) Evaluating GCP- But my experience with GCP "sourcer" recruiters hasn't been stellar. Is it worth the effort?
Is not this a lot of TC for Midwest?
What is mid west? TC at L7 AWS principal manager is definitely low. Are you sure it's L7?
minneapolis. The recruiter said its L7. plus title - sr. manager. however the initial job id was not L7 from what i understand..
For Minneapolis, it looks good. Definitely better then L6 what I have seen so far. Title is misleading. I thought L7 is always principal manager at Amazon. Is it SDM 3?
Congratulations on L7 offer. Would you mind sharing the details on interview process and questions etc? Thanks
phone interview and then onsite. of the onsite - 1 was very technical. But 3 were mainly behavioral - on their leadership principles
Thank you, can i DM you? I heard median TC for L7 is between 450-500K. Since Amazon pay structure is rather stringent in how it's paid out(maybe stuck with same TC for next 4 yrs), you must negotiate. The scope of L7 is large though and you could later switch to Google L6 if not L7.
Its not accurate that you will be stuck with the same pay for 4 years. The initial offer does show a 4 year picture but ifs not static. OP: IMO L7 at Google will be a better option considering the comp and market acceptance of that level. Being in Amazon as an L7, it is unlikely to achieve an L7 in Google. Other way might be easier.
Agree on taking Google L7 over Aamzon L7
It’s funny when people in low cost of living cities expect offers like they like in SF/NY/Sea. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
What role?
sr mgr for engineering
Ok. That’s the lowest part of the band. Should ask for more.
